Is Ace Hardware Returning To Anthem?

I sure hope so. It was so sad to see Ace Hardware close it’s doors in October or 2011, explaining that “the economic environment is making it impossible for us to stay open.” No doubt the Home Depot just a few miles down the road had something to do with Ace’s inability to thrive. And let’s not even mention Walmart.

Well, Anthem AZ News is reporting that Ace will be returning and I believe in the same spot! They appear to now be under new ownership and will have a special section dedicated to the area’s furry family members, which will include specialty food and toys.

While I would have loved to see a Trader Joe’s open up in the space Ace abandoned in 2011, I am glad to know that they will be coming back and wish them the very best success under their new owners.
