2019 ClubCorp Charity Classic
Anthem Golf & Country Club, a member of the ClubCorp family of clubs, announced it will participate in the 2019 ClubCorp Charity Classic, hosting ClubCorp’s annual philanthropic open-house event. Anthem Golf and Country Club will join over 140 other ClubCorp Golf and Country Clubs to celebrate and raise funds for three very deserving charities, Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS, the ClubCorp Employee Partner Care Foundation, and a local charity partner Youth for Troops. Charity Classic is all about coming together to support these three charities, and 100% of all funds raised go directly to the charities. Please join us for a fun golf outing, a great silent auction, and a post tournament extravaganza that won’t disappoint.
Last year, the popular ClubCorp Charity Classic raised more than $3 million for Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS, the ClubCorp Employee Partners Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.), and a variety of charities throughout the U.S. via hundreds of events across the country. Which brings the program’s total giving to more than $27 million since ClubCorp started its Charity Classic in 2007. Here in Anthem, AZ, Anthem Golf and Country Club raised approximately $26,000.
With registration and details now available, Anthem Golf & Country Club encourages members of the community to sign up now.

“Opening our club to the community for this event makes a positive impact on the lives of so many, from our neighbors living with an ALS diagnosis to others needing assistance. We are so proud to a part of the ClubCorp Charity Classic,” said Brad Harrington, general manager at Anthem Golf & Country Club. “During our Charity Classic event, our members and employee partners work together with sponsors to show Anthem Golf & Country Club’s commitment to enriching lives in the communities we support.”
This year, the 2019 ClubCorp Charity Classic continues its long-time charity partnership with Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS, a nonprofit founded by the fitness industry mogul, Augie Nieto, who has lived with ALS for more than a decade. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. Most people with ALS will lose their ability to move independently, walk or talk and live just 2-5 years after their first signs of disease. The organization is committed to fast-tracking effective treatments and an ultimate cure for ALS by supporting the most innovative, progressive science.
Additionally, funds will also be raised to benefit ClubCorp’s Employee Partner Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.), a fund created to help ClubCorp’s employees and their families by providing financial assistance in times of crisis. The Anthem Golf & Country Club event will also benefit Youth for Troops, a local charity. Youth for Troops is a youth-led service-focused nonprofit providing service projects to support our deployed service members and veterans.
